Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 2026

At The Doula Collective LLC and doulaco.app, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as your name, email address, and any other information you choose to provide when using our services or contacting us. We also collect usage data and analytics to improve our services.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services; to communicate with you; to process transactions; and to send you updates and marketing communications (which you can opt out of at any time).

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with trusted service providers who assist us in operating our website and conducting our business, provided they agree to keep this information confidential.

4. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Google Account Data

If you connect your Google Calendar to Doulaco, The Doula Collective LLC requests these permissions: read-only access to your calendar list and free/busy times (calendar.readonly), and permission to create and manage appointment events (calendar.events). We also receive your Google Account email address to identify which account you've connected.

How we use it. Free/busy data is used only to calculate your availability so clients book only open times. Event access is used only to create, update, and remove the appointment events Doulaco generates when a client books, reschedules, or cancels. We do not access the content of your other calendar events.

How we store it. We store your Google authorization tokens encrypted at rest, the identifiers of events we create, and computed busy/free intervals. We retain these only while your integration is connected; disconnecting the integration or deleting your account removes them.

What we don't do. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, and no one accesses it except for security or with your explicit consent.

Doulaco’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, please contact us at stacey@doulaco.org.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page.
